Why start a film journal?

As consumers of media we often rely on social network spaces to dictate how we interact with the media we consume. This space seeks to be more of a travelogue of cinema- of excavating weird genre films and films that are emotive.

This is not a space for movie scores. The false narrative of Rotten Tomatoes and websites that seek to dichotomize “low” and “high” art film miss the opportunity to recognize artistic expression on its own merits.
